The move into girlfriend's place has been fairly easy and all my stuff is unpacked and put away.

So far, I really enjoy living with her.

There have been a few rough spots -- it is an adjustment after all. This is my first time living with someone with whom I'm romantically involved. And she hasn't lived with a significant other in a while. Just the other night we had a kerfuffle when she didn't let me know that she'd be home quite a lot later than anticipated (and I was waiting on her for dinner)-- but we talked about it and all is okay.

I love her because when we hit a bump we talk things out and she doesn't get all overemotional about it but can instead have a logical, calm discussion.

And there is some adjustment in getting used to having less privacy than I am used to having, but the joy of knowing that I will wake up with her every morning far outweighs that.

We have been together for a year, almost. In some ways, it feels like much longer in the sense of I can't imagine my life without her. In other ways, it feels like it cannot possibly have been a year because she still makes my stomach flip flop every time she smiles.

In other news, I go back to work in one week.

I'm glad because I will have something to DO with my days other than hang out and eat popsicles.
